This might sound controversial to most advice you’ll hear but I believe there is a time and place for planning your marketing content in advance.

The huge time saving benefits are obviously worthwhile, and you can be much more strategic with your content when you think long term.

However, recently I’ve been creating in-the-moment content that’s felt much more authentic and intentional. I’ve found it incredibly fulfilling and more impactful than my previous planned posts.

This led me to set an intention to write one new blog a week. I write whatever feels right at the time, whatever feels most natural. I then recreate this blog content across multiple platforms to create a content thread throughout the week.

Why did I set this intention?

Because I love writing. I love to be creative and I get to express myself in ways I don’t always feel I can when speaking. It fills my soul and feels liberating!

I want to enjoy my marketing and grow my business authentically. I want to feel good about whatever I’m putting out there. To grow and scale your business you need to be visible, so if your content doesn’t resonate with you then chances are it won’t resonate with your ideal clients and customers.

I recommend my clients do this all the time. I call it their marketing super-power! I work with them to identify the best way for them to share their knowledge and personality so their ideal clients and customers can get to Know, Like and Trust them.

So now it’s your turn!

What’s your marketing super-power?

How do you most comfortably share your knowledge?

Are you more comfortable with the written word or speaking?

Are you good at conversation?

Do you like teaching?

Are you comfortable in front of a camera?

You’ll find you naturally lean towards blogging, podcasting or producing videos to create consistent content that educates your target audience and feels good.

Don’t overthink it, trust your instincts to zone in on your marketing super-power and try it out. You don’t have to know everything to get started.

My marketing super-power is Blogging. What’s yours?
